The Porirua Swimming Club operates from Te Rauparaha Arena, Aquatic Centre (see map and details)

The Aquatic centre is a modern facility and caters not only for our club but also for the diverse needs of others. The facility has a 25 metre lane pool for the recreational and competitive swimmer, aqua jogger and further runs aquatic programmes like swimming lessons, school holiday programmes, kayaking and flipper ball.

The leisure pool system has a wave machine, lazy river, hydro slide and play features such as the water dump to meet the needs of the family that comes to the pool for a day out. Added to this are the spas, sauna and steam room, for the customer that wants to sit and relax.

The aquatic centre consists of:

• 7-lane, 25 metre lane pool (depth 1.2 metres - 2 metres)
• Leisure pool with lazy river, wave machine and hydroslide
• Toddlers pool
• Two communal spa pools
• Steam room and sauna
• Big screen showing sports or movies
• A café and crèche
