Attached is an availability form for the 6 Centre meet. This meet is a swum between the top swimmers from 6 Regionals. If you think you qualify speak to Nevill about having your name put forward for consideration - we are told that the team came back with a number of cups it would be good to retain them...plus a few more!

The date for the 6th NZCT AIMS GAMES is Sunday 6 September to Friday 11 September 2009 (Week 8 Term 3).

The National Sporting Championship event is organised by Sport Bay of Plenty, Western BOP Intermediate Schools and Tauranga City Council.

Annual General Meeting of Porirua Swimming Club will be held on Friday, 29th May 2009 in Meeting Room 1, Te Rauparaha Arena at 6.30 pm.

The Committees from the two Clubs met last week to talk through the steps in bringing the two Clubs together.

We have agreed to meet next Wednesday to prepare a document on which to base the merger and from there move forward.

PSC Committee will be meeting at 6.30 this Monday in the Pool Cafeteria to discuss the issues that are critical to PSC in moving forward, prior to the Wednesday meeting. We would be pleased for anyone keen to participate in this process to join the meeting.

It is anticipated that the swimmers will soon be competing under the banner of one Club.

We are required to hold another Special Meeting to approve the Committee’s recommendation that Porirua Swimming Club merge with Mana Swimming Club to form one new combined club. We require as many members as possible to attend and to register their vote.

If you are unable to attend, please can you complete the attached form and either give it to Nevill, or place it in the box at the Pool prior to the meeting.

This event has been held annually and is especially organised by Mana Swim Club for the swimmers that didn't qualify for the 2009 National Meets. All the details are in the flyer. Note that for the first time this event will be held at the WRAC.

We want all PSC and Mana swimmers that have qualified to be part of this meet...an opportunity to have your day in the sun!

This Gold Coast Meet is primarily a Relay event with the four 50 m stroke events thrown in as well.

If you are interested in taking part in this meet let the race secretary know by the due date so that he can put relay teams together.

Urgent: Note that the relay event will now be held at Cannons Creek Pool due to issues with the starting blocks at Tawa Pool.

Trophy Carnival held at Cannons Creek Pool

This meet is a long course/sprint event and will be held at Kilbirnie Pool. Some interesting spot prizes and trophies to be won. Repeated also is ‘The MYSTERY 50’ event, where the fastest ten male and female swimmers entered will compete for two $100 cash prizes in a mystery 50m sprint and all swimmers will get a chance to pick lucky lanes (Choco Sweepstakes).
